What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee includes a 6-8 week spring baseball season and your child's full uniform (hat, jersey, pants and socks).
When does the season start/end?
The spring season begins towards mid-April, dependent on weather, and runs until June.
When is practice/games?
For our T-Ball and Rookies divisions, practices are typically held 1x per week for an hour. Games are held on Saturday mornings.
For our 8U division and up, practices are typically held 1-2x per week with 1-2 games per week.
Practice days/times are dependent on the coach's availability.
Weeknight practices and games begin no earlier than 5pm.
What equipment does my child need?
You child will need a baseball glove and sneakers/cleats. Freeport Little League provides each coach with an equipment bag containing a few bats and helmets for the team to share. It is the parents' discretion on whether to purchase their child's own bat, helmet or any other additional equipment. All bats must meet Little League International bat rules and regulations.
When will I be notified about team assignments?
You will receive notification via email with team assignments in early April. Once teams have been assigned, your team's manager/coach will directly communicate with the team regarding practices, games, etc.
What is my child's league age?
Freeport Little League adheres to Little League International's age chart. Your child's league age is his/her age on August 31st of the current year. For further assistance with determining your child's league age, click here to utilize Little League International's age calculator.
